Here’s some good news for the Ubuntu fans, and we know you’re out there.
Canonical today released the beta version of the latest iteration of our favourite open-source OS, codenamed Precise Pangolin. Version 12.04 is a long term support release and, as such, it doesn’t come with too many changes over Oneiric Ocelot, but it will continue to be supported until April 2017. If you want to give beta 1 a whirl, head over to the Ubuntu website or to find out more about the changes and features available, click over to the Ubuntu wiki. And then wonder what 12.10’s awesome codename will be.
