Galaxy S II X 4G announced with rounded edges, Apple lawyers know to sit down

The iPhone 4S wasn’t what we hoped for, internal improvements and Siri aside, still merely on a par with the Samsung Galaxy S II. But no longer; Samsung’s back and wielding your favourite sandwich. The 4G Samsung Galaxy S II X (or the Hercules – no, seriously!) just blasted your shiny new iPhone out of the water. The specs that you care about are below on the picture but I’ll just point out a few things.

HSPA+ 4G with download speeds of up to 42Mbps is a major improvement. And while I may have spoken too soon on the Nexus, Netflix (not Qwikster, that was my foolish editor) will be truly glorious to behold on the Super AMOLED Plus screen.

Also, the dual-core 1.5GHz processor will be faster than ever and should be able to handle anything Gingerbread can throw at it.

All this goodness will be available to you on the 28th on Telus – and we presume other carriers – for $600 or £376 in real money.

My apologies for Henry’s weighty Mango review, like anyone cares.

P.S. Did I tell you about the … CURVED EDGES!
